About The Author

My journey as a school bus driver began 16 years ago.  The first five years of my driving career were  with Aurora City schools, a quaint community located between Cleveland and Akron, Oh.  The past 11 years, have been with Centerville City schools. Warm and cheerful Centerville, is situated between Dayton and Cincinnati, also in Ohio.   Additionally, nine years ago, I took on the role of becoming an O.B.I, (On Board Instructor) training new drivers for Centerville.   When I started driving a school bus, I had no idea how profoundly this job would impact my life, the joy I would find, or the amazing people I would meet along the way.

Sharing stories about the children I transport, and the daily adventures we have together, is something that I have done since I started driving.  It was through the encouragement of family and friends, however, that prompted me to write a book, which, has recently been published and is now available on Amazon and Creatspace.   The link has been provided for your convenience.  In addition, I also decided to  create a website, and began blogging my stories on line.

To all my fellow school bus drivers, I encourage you to jot down your stories. Tell them to your friends and families, for they will be the memories you hold near and dear to your heart, when you’re no longer transporting America’s children, our children.

It is my hope that when you read these stories, that they will leave you smiling, lift your spirits a bit, and may even have you laughing out loud on occasion.  At times, there may even be a tear or two in there as well.

Thank you for taking the time to read about the adventures that take place on my school bus, the silly antics that regularly occur, and the funny, amazing, and outrageous things my kids share with me along the way.  I welcome your comments and thoughts and look forward to hearing from you.
